About My Practice

After 30 years working with children and families in the public educational system in California, I took a three year sabbatical and sailed in and around the Caribbean.  Refreshed, I was ready for a different tack and began working with adolescents and adults, both inpatient and outpatient, at a behavioral health hospital.  My experience includes both substance abuse and the full range of diagnosable mental disorders.  I began my private practice in the summer of 2008.

I work with Individuals, Couples, and Groups in the following areas:

  • Anxiety/Panic/PTSD/Stress Disorders
  • Bi Polar
  • Codependency
  • Co-occuring disorders
  • Couples
  • Depression
  • Emotional/Physical/Sexual Abuse
  • Employee Assistance
  • Gay/Lesbian/Gender
  • Life/Occupation Management
  • Men’s Issues
  • Parenting
  • Substance abuse/dependence

I encourage you to take advantage of either of the assessments for depression or anxiety by clicking on the  “Assessments” button.  If you click on the “Links” button, you will be taken to the Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory, a useful tool for any relationship issues, it is one way to begin to see others’ “irritants” as “complements.”
